Can You Believe It?
There is a CNN Center in downtown Atlanta just for us! Surely, if you post some interesting stories about your life you may just make the news :) I can't believe our blog is THAT famous! Hee, Hee.
My sister came in to town for a few days and we had a ball! We went to the World of Coke, did some shopping, lots of eating out, and went to some soccer games in between. The highlights were introducing Cortney to fried okra, fried pickles (they fry EVERYTHING in the South), the Waffle House, Marshalls, and the vintage shops in Lawrenceville. All things that you guys can look forward to when you come to visit :)
And, of course we'll stop by our very own CNN Center and take a picture!

Just a Thought...
Hey girls!
I spoke in church last Sunday and I used part of a talk President Eyring gave in General Conference a while back. It was entitled Oh, Remember, Remember. He talked about a spiritual experience he had one day when he saw his father-in-law doing some service for he and his family. He was prompted to write in his journal each day so he could share the experiences he had with his kids some day.
Each night before he wrote, he would ask himself if he had seen the hand of God in his, or his families lives that day. He said it was amazing because he would think of blessings, every day, that he hadn't even noticed at the time it happened. He testified that our Heavenly Father DOES bless our lives every day and that he will show us how if we will just try and take the time to remember.
I loved this talk and have thought of it many times since President Eyring gave in in 2007. I just want you guys to know, that I know sometimes life can be hard. That sometimes we don't feel like our Heavenly Father is watching out for us or that we don't feel like we're being blessed. However, I know that if we take the time to really reflect on the things that have happened, EVERY DAY, that we will begin to see the little things we have been blessed with.
Try a gratitude journal for yourselves...it really works and you will be amazed at the blessing you receive each day from a Heavenly Father that loves you so much and wants you to succeed.
Lots of love,
Aunt Charakie
P.S. Thanks to Liz who has been the ONLY one to post. Come on girls...fill me in ;)
